Thomas Schaller - Washing Up
Watercolor painting by Thomas Schaller from the San Diego Watercolor Society (California).
Artist Statement: For an artist, observation need not be limited to just the strictly literal. Dreams, memories, and pure invention were as large a part of the inspiration for this painting than anything actually looked upon. Watercolor is the perfect medium to explore both the concrete and more ephemeral components of observation.
