Artist Statement: This particular piece â London After Darkâ was inspired from a stroll around London at night. The color of the sky against the bright, warm interiors was striking. I did a light sketch directly on my watercolor paper leaving out detail to be finished spontaneously through the painting process. I adjust the color as I paint to enhance the complementary palette.Â
