Artist Statement: This full sheet painting was made with direct washes on pre-wet sections of paper. This let colors mingle in place, which creates luminous results. Extra pigment was introduced before fully dried to create darks. Some highlights were lifted with a damp brush and edges were softened as I painted.Â
