Artist Statement: âShadow Colorsâ, a gouache, was inspired by a photograph I took during a Mexico trip. The Sunlight shining on flowers hung against a vivid blue wall created colorful shadows that took my breath away! These moments challenge me to paint. My water media technique establishes the composition around Value and Color. Thanks to artists like Donna Zagotta for showing me the way.
